Merchant standards

Every storefront agrees to these standards. Breaking them can suspend a storefront or revoke validation.

Accurate identity

  • Describe your relationship to military service exactly as it is.
  • Veteran-supporting businesses are never presented as veteran-owned, and we will not list them that way.
  • Ownership and affiliation claims require staff review before they change.

Honest product claims

  • State where products are made and where orders ship from.
  • Do not describe resold or drop-shipped goods as handmade, custom, or domestically manufactured.
  • Made-in-USA claims are only badged after evidence is reviewed.

Service and responsiveness

  • Keep contact information, links, and hours current.
  • Respond to customers within a reasonable time.
  • Handle refunds and disputes according to your own published policy.

Physical samples & verification items

Our promise for any item you send us for verification:

  • We will never sell your item or profit from it.
  • We will never present your item as ours or as something we created.
  • We will only donate it to a veteran organization or veteran non-profit fundraiser (such as an auction or raffle) with your approval first.
  • Any donated item is always shown with your business name and storefront.
  • You may ask to have your item returned instead.

Changes that need approval

Most edits publish immediately. These fields go to an administrator for review first:

  • Business ownership
  • Veteran affiliation
  • Business designation
  • Manufacturing claims
  • Shipping-origin claims
  • Public address
  • Main website domain
  • Validation-related content

Rechecks & inquiries

Merchants agree to cooperate with rechecks and inquiries and to respond within the 14-day cure window. Unresolved issues lead to revocation, a public suspension notice for 30 days, and then permanent removal of the storefront page. See the revocation policy.

Grounds for suspension

  • Expired or unpaid storefront rent past the grace period.
  • Disputed ownership or fraudulent claims.
  • Counterfeit goods or misrepresented sourcing.
  • Attempts to manipulate reviews.
